This is the dramatic moment a motorist narrowly escaped death as two massive boulders rolled down from the mountainside the second they drove past.

The near miss was captured on another driver's dash camera while travelling behind on a road in Guangyuan, in Sichuan Province, China, on the afternoon of October 29.

The nine-second video shows a grey vehicle travelling along the side of Guangyuan Mountain amid dry and sunny weather.

Suddenly, its path is cut off by a giant rolling rock that came tumbling down from the left side and seemingly out of nowhere. As the driver luckily managed to step on the brakes on time, a second and even larger boulder slammed down on the road just inches behind the car which ended up getting sandwiched between the rockfall.

Incredibly, the vehicle emerged unscathed as the boulders bounced off the asphalt and continued rolling downhill. No injuries have been reported during the incident.
