Sheriff deputies from Columbia County Sheriff's Office performed a heroic rescue on a distressed buck entangled in barbed wire around a tree in Wisconsin.

The footage shows the authorities using bolt cutters and an electrical saw to carefully snip away at the wire.

The buck was eventually able to wriggle free thanks to the deputies' actions.

Responding to a two-day-old report, the deputies found the exhausted buck still struggling to free itself.

Deploying their Department of Natural Resources (DNR) skills, the deputies utilized bolt cutters and a Sawall to carefully liberate the massive deer. Following the successful rescue operation, the buck, once ensnared and fatigued, bounded away, now granted the opportunity to live freely for another day.
