Indonesia: Mount Marapi Spews Kilometers-High Column Of Ash In Recent Eruption 2
11 hikers were found dead and 12 others were missing after Mount Marapi erupted on Sunday, December 3 sending a kilometers-high column of ash towering over West Sumatra.
There were 75 hikers in the area during them main eruption but most of them were safely evacuated, according to reports.
The eruption occurred at 2:54pm local time and caused an ash rain in surrounding towns.
