This Siberian tiger recoiled after it got its tongue stuck to the frozen iron railings of its enclosure at a zoo in China's Heilongjiang Province.

The video shows a Siberian tiger in a local zoo unexpectedly having its tongue frozen to the iron railing while licking meat shreds hung on the enclosure during the extreme cold weather in northern China.

The animal looked like thinking it was under an attack so it struggled for a while and managed to free its tongue. The tiger stared at the railing with a perplexed and aggrieved expression, seemingly pondering the unusual predicament it had encountered.

The video was filmed on December 14, in Mudanjiang, Heilongjiang Province, and provided with permission from local media.
