STORYLINE:

Peiligang is one of the earliest village ruins in China, dating back approximately 7,600 to 8,000 years.

With an area of 50,000 to 60,000 square meters, it's renowned as one of the birthplaces of Chinese agricultural civilization.

Relics unearthed at the site provide important clues for the study of Neolithic cultures in the central plains.

They reveal details on ancient agriculture, pottery making, the textile industry as well as alcohol-making techniques.

The Peiligang culture, named after the site, is considered a proof that the Yangshao culture, dating back 5,000 to 7,000 years, originated in China.
