A loyal dog stood vigil over a fallen elderly owner until a passing driver came to the rescue in southwest China.

The CCTV footage was filmed in Qiannan Buyei and Miao Autonomous Prefecture in Guizhou Province on January 6.

A 73-year-old solitary resident accidentally fell. The family's dog, noticing the incident, remained by the elderly person's side. Upon seeing a passing car, the canine promptly rushed towards it.

A vigilant driver noticed the situation, immediately stopped the car, observed for a moment, and then got out to approach the elderly individual. The driver assisted the senior citizen back to the house.

The daughter of the elderly man explained that she had moved away to Sichuan Province and had originally intended to bring her father to live with her. However, he insisted on staying in his hometown of Guizhou Province.

Thanks to the timely help of the compassionate passerby, the father was assisted back to his feet and is now in good condition after some rest.

The daughter, unable to personally express gratitude to the driver whom she doesn't know, can only extend her wishes for a lifetime of safety and well-being to the kind-hearted individual.
