In recent weeks, IDF Reserve Unit 646, operating near the vicinity of Al-Bureij in the Gaza Strip, detected and thwarted a missile launch attempt involving approximately 25 rockets aimed at Netivot. The unit engaged in pursuit, apprehending seven armed militants associated with the rocket launch.

During the operation, additional militants were eliminated. The pursuit led to the discovery of a launch facility housing three rocket launchers, each equipped with 10 rockets ready for deployment.

The IDF Engineering Corps from Battalion 710 executed a precise demolition of the launch facility and rocket launchers.

"During our forces' activity in the sector, we identified multiple rocket launches towards the city of Netivot," reported Colonel Elad Shushan, Commander of Reserve Unit 646. "Our forces pursued, eliminated several terrorists, and captured seven detainees. In subsequent searches, we located 30 loaded rocket launchers, all of which were neutralized."
