STANDUP (English): WANG ZHUOLUN, Xinhua correspondent in Tel Aviv
"As Sunday marked the 107th day of the conflict between Israel and Hamas, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in a video statement that Israel completely rejects Hamas's demands for the end of the conflict in exchange for releasing the remaining 136 hostages in Gaza. He stressed that Gaza must be demilitarized and under Israel's full security control."

The Palestinian death toll from ongoing Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip has exceeded 25,000, the Gaza-based Health Ministry said on Sunday.

The Health Ministry said the health situation in the Strip is "catastrophic and painful" amid the ongoing Israel-Hamas conflict.

SOUNDBITE 1 (Arabic): KARAM WESSAM, Gaza resident
"The situation here is bad. We have nothing. There is no drinking water. The missile directly hit my brother and my father, who was carrying my cousin. My father and cousin died, and my brother survived and had his foot amputated."

SOUNDBITE 2 (Arabic): NOUR HUSSIEN, Gaza resident
"We are living difficult days. We see death thousands of times every day. The dead are relieved of this hard life, while the living are still suffering. The shelling is intense and continuous. I think we won't find any intact houses. Destruction is everywhere. Shrapnel from the bombing landed on the schoolyard."
