High-Speed Police Chase After Drunk Suspect Results in Collision in Fort Worth, USA
This footage was filmed and produced 27 January 2024.
On the night of January 27, 2024, Fort Worth Police confronted a dire situation as a suspected intoxicated driver, Andrew Guerra, fled from authorities, driving without the left front wheel of his vehicle. The erratic pursuit through the West 7th Entertainment District resulted in a collision that seriously injured two pedestrians.
The incident unfolded at 10:06 p.m., with officers observing Guerra's reckless driving. Despite severe damage to his vehicle, Guerra continued evading arrest, endangering public safety. The pursuit concluded with the vehicle striking a pole, a stopped car, and ultimately two pedestrians at the intersection of West 7th and University.
Andrew Guerra, 29, of Grand Prairie, was taken into custody and faces charges including Evading Arrest/Detention with Vehicle Causing Serious Bodily Injury, Intoxication Assault with Vehicle Causing Serious Bodily Injury, and Unlawful Restraint. Despite refusing a blood sample, a search warrant was obtained to determine his blood alcohol content. Guerra, who lacked prior alcohol-related convictions, is currently held on a $95,000 bond in the Tarrant County Jail. The passenger in Guerra's truck, a cooperative party, is also the victim in the Unlawful Restraint charge.
