This footage appears to show Russian air forces destroying Ukrainian soldiers and strongholds with the help of a Sukhoi Su-25 jet.

The Russian-made Su-25 twin-engine jet allegedly destroyed Ukrainian units and strongholds in the area of Donetsk, in Donetsk Oblast, Ukraine, on February 5.

Russia's Ministry of Defence said in a statement: 'After employing aviation ordnance, the crews executed anti-missile manoeuvres, deployed thermal decoys, and returned to the departure airfield.

'According to reports from the forward aviation controller [FAC], all designated targets were successfully hit. The flight proceeded as planned.'

A pilot codenamed 'Farmer' said: 'We received a task to strike at a Ukrainian Armed Forcesplatoon-sized stronghold.

'We executed the task with rocket launches from a dive. Approaching the target area, we established the designated mode, and executed the attack.

'According to the FAC report, the target was hit 100 per cent. We then conducted an approach to the landing strip, landing approach, and landed.'
