Multiple-vehicle collision on icy Loujiang Highway in Suzhou: one officer injured
On February 23, 2024, a severe accident unfolded on the elevated section of the Loujiang Highway in Suzhou Industrial Park, China, at around 7:00 am. The collision involving multiple vehicles was attributed to road icing, leading to over 100 vehicles being caught in the chaotic incident. Among those affected, a police officer sustained injuries, while other drivers and passengers suffered minor injuries, thankfully resulting in no major casualties. Emergency services, including the traffic police and fire department, are actively engaged in on-site disposal efforts.
