The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) prepared for the arrival of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip by sea. A ship carrying humanitarian aid from the WCK organization, funded by the United Arab Emirates, set sail on Tuesday from the port of Larnaca in Cyprus towards the Gaza Strip.

The sailing was done in coordination with Israeli security and civilian authorities, in accordance with the guidance of the Minister of Defense and the request of the US government. The entry of the aid is made possible after all the equipment on the ship underwent comprehensive security checks accompanied by state representatives, in order to ensure that only humanitarian aid enters the strip.

In addition, on Tuesday, following the diplomatic directive, six aid trucks entered the northern Gaza Strip through the crossing in the border fence.

The entry of the aid trucks was coordinated by the IDF forces and through the Kerem Shalom crossing, following an agreement with the US government. The trucks underwent meticulous security checks by Israeli security forces and contain aid from the World Food Program (WFP).

All this is happening simultaneously with over 1,000 aid packages being airdropped to the Gaza Strip in the past week by 12 foreign countries' aircraft.
