On February 14, 2024, in a heartwarming neighborhood scene in Zhejiang, a couple of turtle doves hatched their eggs on a windowsill.

Carefully selecting twigs and feathers, it diligently constructs its cozy abode, turning the window into both its sanctuary and a bridge between humans and nature from September 2023.

The filmer put rice on the windowsill for the doves since they first came. Feeling safe and warm, the bird couple gradually brought branches to make a home and breed.

The pair in the video is now hatching a fourth.

The turtle dove is a national protective animal in China.
