On April 18, Guangzhou was hit by severe weather, including heavy rain, thunderstorms, and strong gusty winds.
CCTV footage filmed in Guangzhou City in Guangdong Province on April 18, shows a man, attempting to hold down a tent, being blown away by the powerful wind along with the tent itself at a fishing site.

Remarkably, he reported landing safely and was unharmed.

In another incident recorded by CCTV, a metal shed was torn from a rooftop by the storm, narrowly missing a woman who abandoned her electric bike to dodge the debris.

Local shopkeepers confirmed that although the shed was blown off the building, no one was injured.

The Guangzhou Meteorological Observatory issued a yellow warning (the third strongest level) for heavy rain and an orange warning (the second strongest level) for thunderstorms and high winds on the same day.

The video was provided by local media with permission.
