A train officer saved a man from jumping onto the tracks after an argument with his girlfriend in northern China.

The terrifying CCTV footage was filmed in Qinghuangdao City in Hebei Province on April 16. An argument between a couple led a man to attempt to jump from the platform just as the train K338 was approaching.

Jiang Hui, a train officer from a nearby train G6290, sprang into action after hearing the railway workers' shouts and successfully rescued the man from the perilous brink.

The incident caused the train K338 to be delayed. Police from the Qinhuangdao Station quickly arrived at the scene. The man was taken to the police station for further investigation in accordance with the law.

Upon questioning by the police, the man admitted to his unlawful behaviour without any reservations. He has now been administratively detained for seven days by the Beijing railway police for causing public disturbance.

千钧一发之际，一旁G6290次列车的乘警姜辉听到铁路工作人员的呼喊后，立即上前帮忙，救下了该男子。
此事故造成K338次列车晚点，随后秦皇岛站派出所民警立即赶到现场。执勤民警依法将此人传唤至秦皇岛站派出所作进一步调查。
面对民警询问，该男子对自己的违法行为供认不讳。目前，其因寻衅滋事被北京铁路警方依法行政拘留七日。
