Temperatures over 40 degrees Celsius have made April the hottest month ever in parts across India.

The country's Meteorological Department (IMD) has shared data dating back to 1921 seeing multiple areas across the country record temperatures of 43 degrees Celsius and higher in April 2024, making it the hottest month on record.

The IMD predict the next five days are going to be hotter.

The next five days are going to be even hotter. According to the IMD, the effect of severe heat wave is being seen in the eastern and southern peninsular of the country.This intense form of heat will continue for the next five days.
