A passenger jumped out of a taxi after the driver rejected stop request on an elevated road in eastern China.

The shocking dashcam footage was filmed in Shanghai on April 30.

According to preliminary investigations by the police, a 54-year-old female taxi driver, surnamed Yang, was carrying a female passenger, surnamed Zhang, from Shanghai Pudong International Airport to the aforementioned location.

When Zhang requested the driver to stop on the elevated road, the driver refused. Subsequently, Zhang opened the car door and jumped out from the rear seat.

Upon medical examination, Zhang suffered superficial abrasions on her face and hands, with no serious injuries.

During the investigation, police found that Zhang exhibited signs of confusion and incoherent speech. Further follow-up actions are underway.
