A dog with its head stuck in a plastic jar for three days was finally rescued in Thailand.

Footage shows the scared pooch having trouble navigating a street as its vision was limited by the trash covering its head in Trat province on May 7.

Rescuers went to the neighbourhood and cordoned off a block so they could catch the one-year-old female stray.

It was thin as it could not eat nor drink water but would run away whenever someone tried to help it as it was frightened of people.

Soon after, the volunteers cornered it at a vacant lot and the plastic was removed.

Trat Deputy Governor Peera Iamsunthorn said: 'I received a report about the dog and we sent them help.

'The dog was unable to eat food or drink water, which could have endangered its life. Every life matters.'
