New Year Storm at Lamorna
Huge waves cover cliffs and rocky outcrops with spray at Lamorna Cove in south west Cornwall. Storm watchers move their cars from the car park which will be flooded when the tide comes in. Meanwhile in Mount's Bay, a mere five miles away, St Michael's Mount enjoys the shelter provided by the cliffs at Lamorna. Sunlight, hail storms, lightning, power outages and sixty mile an hour winds add to the drama of a proper Cornish storm.
