World Bog Snorkelling Championships 2012

Buy video

Llanwrtyd Wells is the place where bog snorkelling was invented, and it hosts the annual World Championships every August.

Competitors are required to don a mask or goggles, snorkel & flippers (no monofins allowed) and entrants have to snorkel two lengths of a specially dug out, 60yd trench, in a peat bog. Conventional swimming strokes (e.g. breast stroke, crawl) are not allowed, so flipper power is the key.
