Elephant Charge - Jim Corbett National Park
We stopped at a distance after seeing this elephant herd, as there were babies and elephants are extremely protective about their young ones. However our expert Corbett driver told us that the biggest one, the matriarch, who was standing right at the back of the herd and seemed absolutely unaware of our existence will charge at us. And we said she is not even looking in our direction, but we knew that our experienced driver must be sure of what he had predicted and so we waited... and just in a bit her stance changed and from ignoring, she suddenly started running towards us, trumpeting throughout and we were glad that we had maintained our distance from the very beginning.
