Grenfell Firefighters Holiday in Cornwall

Buy video

Firefighters from Blue Watch North Kensington, who helped save lives in the Grenfell Tower fire tragedy, have been having an adventure holiday in Cornwall, courtesy of Penzance Community Fire Station, who fund raised to give the London crew a break.

Having surfed at St Ives in the morning, the crew then went coasteering at Praa Sands in the afternoon with adventure company, Kernow Coasteering. Among many other things, coasteering encourages teamwork, and the crew can be seen helping each other negotiate rock platforms swept by open ocean waves, and encouraging each other to do the jump!

Bearing in mind the fishermen who were swept off rocks in Cornwall recently, it must be stressed that coasteering expeditions are led by guides with many years of experience, who hold a variety of recognised lifesaving, first aid and other relevant qualifications. The company is also fully registered and licensed.
