Road rage driver arrested after jumping on car roof 'like a safari park monkey'
This was the moment a furious driver saw red after a woman honked her horn - then climbed on her ROOF and kicked her window.
Nattakarit Tulapan, 21, was a passenger in his girlfriend's black Fiesta in Chonburi, Thailand.
Fellow road user Phatchmon Siriwanich, 40, sounded her horn as the cars crossed lanes on a motorway sparking anger from Nattakarit.
He swapped places with his girlfriend, grabbing the wheel and chasing the lone female driver before getting out - and climbing on the roof of her white Toyotoa Yaris.
Footage from shocked onlookers shows crazed Nattakarit jumping on the car ''like a safari park monkey'' then kicking the kicking the left-hand window.
The road rage driver sped away but was later arrested and told police he was ''enraged at being beeped at''.
Speaking at the police station in the Sri Racha district of the province, he said: ''My blood was boiling hot and I lost my cool. I admit that I did wrong. I heard the sound of the horn and then I saw somebody make a middle finger sign at me and I felt rage. I do not have any excuse for this and I apologise to the driver.''
Phatchmon said she was ''terrified'' after the youth boxed in her car. She said: ''I drove away after the first confrontation then they caught up with me. I was very scared and too scared to drive away. I had only been sounding my horn because another car was moving towards mine. He jumped on the roof like a monkey at a safari park and kicked the window. There was damage to the roof so my insurance company are dealing with that.''
Police have not charged anyone.
