This is the shocking moment an out-of-control car crashed in front of a restaurant, sparking panic among diners.

The driver of the white Isuzu, Athiwat, 49, said he first struck a bus stopped at a U-turn area before swerving toward the eatery in Nonthaburi, Thailand.

CCTV footage shows the vehicle hitting the side wall of the establishment, causing signage to collapse on January 22 evening.

The impact was absorbed by the concrete wall, preventing the SUV from reaching the area where customers and servers were standing.

An officer from Bang Bua Thong Police Station said: 'We received a report of the incident at a U-turn. We took photos of the scene as evidence.'

The back of the bus that Athiwat initially hit was badly damaged, while debris was scattered across the restaurant's front.

A restaurant employee said: 'The car veered into the shop just as I stepped outside to pick up an inflatable doll. It was terrifying.'

Despite the damage, no one was injured and the driver was taken to the police station for questioning.
