A deer hunter decided to help out an armadillo and scared it away from a field before it got caught by the farmer.

The footage, shot in Ohio, shows the armadillo jumping up and doing a backflip before quickly running away.

"The farmers strongly dislike these critters for destroying property but instead of harming the little fella I decided to give him a scare," the filmer wrote online.

"I slowly snuck up behind him and gave him a little tap and he jumped about 2 feet high and almost did a back-flip before running into the grass," he added.

While deer hunting in Southeast Kansas, I had a break around Noon. I was on my way back to grab a bite to eat when I noticed this Armadillo aka “Diller” rooting around in a cut bean field.
