Bride can't hold back tears as late father's letter is read on wedding day
Heartwarming video of a bride breaking into tears as she hears her dead father speak through a letter on her wedding day.
The footage, captured in New York has recently emerged online, shows Emily Darbey getting emotional whilst her uncle reads the letter.
Todd Excell, the father, died of cancer when Emily was 8-years-old.
He decided to write the special message in his last days. He wrote:
''To my dearest daughter, Emily.''
'You are my heart and soul and always will be.''
''I'm asking you and your husband to treat each other with love and respect.''
''I love you Emily and I know I'd love your husband. I will always be there as you walk anywhere.''
Todd Excell also left a message for Emily's husband.
'To the new husband.
''I will not be able to intimidate you or ask you a million questions before you date my daughter, tell you I have a gun under my bed, or ask you why you are interested in dating my daughter, take your licence plate down and the type of car you drive.''
'But what I can do is haunt you.'
At this point, wedding guests can be heard laughing in the background.
Emily's mother later wrote online:
''I helped Todd write the letter since he was bedridden and then put in the freezer for safe keeping.''
''I never told my sibling because Todd wanted it that way, and to be read at her wedding.''
''Emily has her Father's smarts and music talent from him. Todd was a funny guy,'' she added.
