This is the tear-jerking moment a couple had an emotional first dance as husband and wife.

American Duane Miller and his Filipina bride Arlyn Miller had spent five years in an online long-distance relationship before the wedding reception in a resort in Agusan Del Norte, Philippines, on March 12.

Footage shows Arlyn supporting Duane's weight as they dance together.

The couple could not hold back their tears as they swayed to the touching background music.

They had been in a long-distance relationship for five years and had been in only contact online through voice and video calls.

During their relationship, Duane suffered a stroke, but he didn't give up as Arlyn became his motivation to fight back against his illness.

Despite his condition, Duane traveled in a wheelchair to meet his girlfriend and eventually proposed to her.

Wedding guest Ruthchel Rabadan Aplaya witnessed the heartfelt dance and recorded it.

He said: 'Everyone was so touched by seeing the beauty of their love.'
