This bored cat amuses himself by playing with a NEWTON’S CRADLE.

The seven-year-old grey named Zai Zai was laying down on the kitchen table when he pulled back one ball with his paw.

Looking adorably non-plussed, he watches the metal spheres hit each other until they stop - before pushing them again with his claws.

Zai Zai then appears to have had a sudden idea and tilts his head as he looks at the desk toy in fascination as he has another go pushing the balls back and fourth.

He then slumps back back on his back to carry on playing with the cradle in Penghu, Taiwan.

Owner Wuwu Huifang said: ‘’Zai’s thinking to himself ‘I can’t go anywhere, I have to stay home and play Newton’s Cradle’.

‘’He looks at the balls and he’s still bored. I think he’s a smart cat. He has more fun with this than cat toys.

''The cat is a curious creature. As long as you carefully teach him, he will soon learn.''
