Evacuation of Burnt Ship Victims
An oil tanker owned by Pertamina Company exploded in Balikpapan sea. The explosion occurred because the ship experienced a spill of diesel. The spillage then spread about 300 meters from the Port of Semayang.
Initial plan, the spilled diesel will be destroyed by burning in the middle of the sea. Allegedly, due to errors in the procedure to make the ship was burned.
Known, the blaze in the polluted sea waters of Balikpapan, occurred ahead of noon, killing five people.
no less than 20 foreign workers were evacuated, in which one of them burns. Police say all of them are Chinese citizens, and ships come from China. All Chinese workers are treated at Pertamina Hospital Balikpapan.
