Scouts from around East Africa undergo physical fitness endurance exercises at the Uganda National Training and Camping site at Kaazi landing site in Wakiso district. These exercises take place in what is called the challenge valley located deep inside a forest on the shores of Lake Victoria. This is part of the syllabus for the wood badge training course for all scouts. According to Uganda Scouts Assistant Chief Commissioner in Charge Training Justine Balikudembe [in purple t-shirt] the wood badge course has three vital phases namely: camp phase/practical, theory and then probation. All these must be attained in six months. Uganda scouts Association boasts of over 111000 scouts .
