Record-breaking rainfalls across Central Pennsylvania opened up a sinkhole in the township of Mount Carmel, as seen in a video filmed on July 26.

The footage, taken on Spring Street in Locust Gap, shows a large sinkhole fenced off by security tape.

More than a foot of rain poured down over Central Pennsylvania over the past five days, causing widespread flooding, traffic disruptions and power outages across the region.

Two deaths have been linked to the floods, both a result of vehicles trapped in high waters. One person is still reported missing.

Authorities warned people to be cautious while walking near rivers and creeks, and to avoid driving on still-waterlogged roads, but stated that the rain is tapering off.
