Twelve RAF choppers gear up for 100th Anniversary Flypast
Like a scene from Apocalypse Now, 12 RAF whirlybirds stormed into Stapleford Abbotts aerodrome to take their place in the 100th anniversary flypast over Buckingham Palace, July 10, 2018. There were nine large choppers and three smaller training aircraft.
They flew over the Mall, with a further three large choppers remaining behind primed and ready 'just in case' - but were not needed.
