Vietnamese man repeatedly slaps a chicken in the face
When we arrived in Vietnam in September 2017, we were excited to experience new things. We didn't have long to wait. On our first morning we witnessed a local in Ho Chi Minh City rinsing a wet cloth over his chickens head and slapping it repeatedly in the face. To this day I have no idea why he did this. He spoke no English and I, equally, spoke no Vietnamese. I've asked multiple people since and no-one can offer me a realistic explanation. Perhaps one day the mystery will be solved.
