Storm Doris brought strong and gusty winds to large parts of the UK on 23 February 2017. Storm Doris - Aircraft Go Arounds, Hard Landings, Turbulence Aviation Video features a number of dramatic go-arounds / aborted landings and some very hard and bumpy landings. This video features Ryanair Boeing 737-800 aircraft struggling to land at London Stansted Airport in winds gusting up to 50 kts at times, resulting in a large number of go-arounds. A Qatar Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner was the main diversion to Stansted from Birmingham. It departed around 6pm the same day. A BA Cityflyer Embraer E170 made a very turbulent approach. The Ryanair 737-800 EI-DCL is seen in the Boeing in house livery and performing a dramatic crosswind approach, touch down and immediate go-around. This aircraft performed a further attempt before diverting elsewhere. With a Germanwings Airbus and probably the hardest landing I have ever filmed with a FedEX MD-11, I hope you enjoy the video and can see the utmost professionalism of the crews and airport operations during such storm events.
