Monday 3 September 2018 at Iona Beach peninsular in Richmond BC Canada - its a Labour Day Long Weekend and idiots have set fire to the driftwood in the night - a big thanks to Richmond Fire and Rescue for responding so quickly to put out this fire! No roads or humans or buildings were impacted - only nature and wildfire were affected which makes me all the more grateful to Richmond Fire and Rescue!! Three Ladder Trucks sent! Its a very fragile ecosystem out on the peninsular and parks make a lot of effort to plant nature grasses and shrubs to stabilize the sand dunes.. only for some half wit drunk in the night to set the driftwood ablaze! Idiots!
