Caught Red Van Handed Fly Tipping in Ealing

On Wednesday 25th July at 19.16pm I was alerted by my Wife who came running into the house from the back garden, saying that there are some fly tippers dumping rubbish. The side of our garden backs onto a street.

My wife grabbed the keys to open the garden door and we grabbed our phones to catch them and film the incident. A neighbour was also sitting in his car observing this but he is an old man and probably felt scared confronting the fly tippers.

I went up to them and asked them what they were doing and that your not dumping this rubbish here. One of them said “Oh no we’re picking up the rubbish”. I said no your not because there was no rubbish here in the first place. They quickly back tracked and started putting the debris and waste back into the red van they were driving. I told them what I was going to do with the film and report them and they then started getting defensive. We had a heap of fly tipping across the road from their van and I asked “Are you going to pick up that rubbish over there if you’ve come to collect fly tipping”? They answered “No we haven’t got room in the van”. As you can see in the video, their van was full of waste and rubbish that they were going to dump on our street.

The Red Van registration is W134 RLL and their were 3 Indian men in the van.

This is a common occurrence on our street because it's a quiet area. I'm quite vigil and since this video the dumping of waste has been drastically reduced.
