This doesn't look comfortable! Adélie Penguins on their stony nests

The Adélie Penguin (Pygoscelis adeliae) is a common penguin, and its distribution is restricted to the coastline of Antarctica. Adélie Penguins stand 46-71 cm tall and weigh between 3.6 to 6 kg. These birds were part of a large breeding colony at Brown Bluff on the Antarctic Peninsula. Adélie Penguins breed from October to February and lay two eggs on shallow nests of small stones to keep their eggs dry and to protect them from freezing. There is stiff competition amongst the birds for suitable stones, and theft of stones from nests is common. Both parents share incubation of the eggs and rearing of the chicks.
