A heavy rainstorm struck Pattaya City and nearby Chonburi on November 22, flooding streets and causing heavy traffic.

The inclement weather affected the locals' celebration of the annual Lok Krathong festival, which takes place on the evening of the full moon of the 12th month in the traditional Thai lunar calendar, with many unable to leave their houses due to the storm.

According to local media, more than 30 cm of rain poured down in the Thai city.
