UK driver 'not wearing seatbelt' crashes into oncoming traffic in horror head on collision
This is the terrifying moment two vehicles collided head-on in Sheffield in the UK on Thursday (December 6).
The incident occurred at around 4pm local time when a BMW pulled out into oncoming traffic on Brightside Road and collided with an Audi Q7.
Dash cam footage shows the BMW spin out of control and hit a metal post.
The Audi then veers to the side of the road where it remained until emergency services arrived.
Luckily, an off-duty police officer, a nurse and a doctor were on hand to help in the ten minutes before emergency services arrived, according to the filmer.
"My first reaction, I was horrified, somebody could have been killed or seriously injured," said the filmer.
"The BMW driver was unconscious and the Q7 driver had chest pains and was receiving ECG," he added.
"The BMW driver had to be cut out by the fire brigade...he wasn't wearing a seatbelt."
The BMW driver later contacted the filmer and said he was suffering only with "neck, back and facial pain."
The Audi driver was taken to hospital but there were no immediate reports of serious injuries.
