Driver freezes as truck hits his car head-on in China
This is the dramatic moment a driver froze in place as a truck crashed head-on into his car in China.
Mr Zhang was driving along the Baijia Bridge when the green lorry veered into the opposite lane in an illegal attempt to overtake another dump truck in Jian, Jiangxi province.
Dashcam footage shows the car owner honking at the heavy vehicle as it accelerates on the motorway.
He then halted midway as the two lorries sped toward him.
The 10-wheeler, driven by Mr Lai, was unable to brake in time and slammed into the grey sedan, severely damaging its front end.
Local media reported that Mr Zhang sustained injuries, and both vehicles were damaged in the collision.
A police investigation found Mr Lai fully at fault for overtaking despite oncoming traffic—a direct violation of traffic laws.
Authorities reminded drivers that overtaking is strictly prohibited when the vehicle in front is turning, making a U-turn, or when there is a risk of oncoming vehicles.
