The Terrifying Hanoi Train Street - "marked for death" dangerous railtrack near homes in hanoi, vietnam
The video captured in Ha Noi city, Viet Nam on May 12. An extremely interesting street, called “the train street”. Train travels through narrow gap inbetween houses.
The Old Quarter section – this has cafes, homestay and shops along the tracks. They sell basic hot and cold drinks including smoothies and beers.
This is a crowded residential area in Hanoi that a speeding train passes straight through twice a day. The street is so narrow that all residents must ensure their bikes and precious personal belongings, are all safely inside the house before the train passes.
Locals move their tables back in to their front door and the train snakes past just inches or so from your nose as you push yourself tight against the wall. The train literally passed by within a few inches, as you can see from the angle of the video!
Visitors always pose along the tracks when no trains are coming which is fine. However, don’t even think of trying to get in a photo with a train. It’s just impossible to judge the speed with which they’re moving. Honestly, there are no barriers and nothing to protect you… You really could be dead in seconds.
