A man has been stabbed in north London - the latest knife crime incident in the UK capital.

The incident happened on Saturday evening and initially left the victim, in his 20s, in a life-threatening condition.

Several hours later police said his condition was no longer critical.

A man, believed to be in his 20s’ is no longer in a life-threatening condition after being stabbed in north London last night (May 25).

Police remained on the scene in Enfield, with a crime scene in place on Aldermans Hill until early this morning (May 26).

Officers were called to the area after members of the public found a man with a stab wound to the neck.

They provided help to the victim, who it is believed may have been attacked in nearby Broomfield Park.

He has been taken to hospital where his condition improved overnight.

Police are in the process of informing his next of kin about the incident.

Scotland Yard says following the incident, a male self-presented at a north London police station and was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.

He’s been taken to hospital after he showed officers he had been stabbed.
