Minibus reverses for 2km to escape police in China
Unusual CCTV footage has emerged from China of a minibus reversing for two kilometres to lose a following police car after being caught driving backwards in the capital of Hubei Province on Sunday, 4 January.
According to local reports the driver, Mr Yuan, was driving backwards to take a shortcut when a patrolling police car noticed and tried to stop him. Yuan reportedly quickly started backing away to evade the police, ending up driving backward approximately two kilometres in half an hour.
According to the police, Yuan has been fined 2,200 yuan (358 US dollars) and been given driving restrictions.
