A bus' rear wheels skidded diagonally along a motorway taking up the whole road in Udon Thani, northeastern Thailand.

Inside the car behind the bus was Auttakarn Panomsing, 30, who was driving to work when he spotted the coach appearing to slide dangerously on August 21.

Bus company director Panan Tanadka ordered mechanics to check the bus and question its driver, who said the wheel axle had broken but he kept on driving as its chassis was still functional.

Auttakarn Panomsing, 30, was driving to work when he spotted the coach appearing to slide dangerously along road in Udon Thani, northeastern Thailand on Wednesday (21/08).

Footage shows the tour bus was moving forwards at an angle, changing lanes at speed with its rear wheels veering out to the right.

Alarmed motorists stayed well back from the dodgy coach, which was full of dozens of passengers, fearing it was about to topple over.

Auttakarn said: ''I wasn't sure what was wrong with the bus. The bus’s wheel alignment might have been broken or something was loose.

''I didn't know if the bus driver noticed it but it was very dangerous for passengers and everybody else on the road.''

He finally stopped the bus at a patrol station and contacted the company to transfer 15 passengers to the new bus.

Transport chief Panansaid: ''The driver was driving on the right lane which was very dangerous. Luckily, the bus didn't cause any accidents.

''We'll need more details about the incident from the driver. Initially, he could face charge for the reckless driving.''
