Among the narrowboats, cruisers and sailboats messing about on the water was an vintage amphibious car.

The floating motor spotted at Wroxham, Norfolk, was most likely a 1960s amphicar designed to travel both on land and in the water.

The scene was reminiscent of 1977 Bond film, the Spy Who Loved Me when dashing Roger Moore famously took a Lotus Esprit under the Bahamian waves.

Gary Bartlett, who videoed the unusual sight on the Broads, was one of the onlookers left stunned by the scene.

He said; "I was picking my wife up from work, she works in a cafe overlooking the river, and I looked back on the water towards the bridge, and noticed the car appearing from underneath it.
