San Andrés is a pre-Hispanic Mayan site of El Salvador, whose long occupation began around 900 BC. C. in the Zapotitán valley, of the department of La Libertad. Between 600 and 900 d. C. San Andrés was the capital of a Mayan manor with supremacy over the other settlements of the Valley.
The site comprises an acropolis, which is an elevated square with pyramids and dwelling houses at the top. There is also a large square on the north side where other pyramids are located, including a bell-shaped one.
