Students clashed with riot police in the Colombian capital on Thursday (October 24).

The clashes erupted as hundreds of students took to the streets to call on the authorities to speed up the investigation into Wilman Muñoz, former president of Francisco José de Caldas District University.

Muñoz is accused of corruption and misuse of funds.

During the afternoon of this Thursday, students from different universities in Bogotá left to march.

The students of the District University went out to ask the Comptroller and the Prosecutor to speed up the investigation of Wilman Muñoz, former director of the University Extension Institute (Idexud), who would have used resources from the institution (there are more than 11,000 million pesos) to make personal purchases. In addition, they request compliance with a list of conditions submitted to the Higher University Council of that academic institution.
