RE-EDITED: FACE OF THE HOMELESS: Gary returns to live on half-sunken wreck: prefers it to rough sleeping.

Last week Gary, 55, said he had abandoned the boat – see earlier video report. But today Tuesday he was back on board and hoping to fix it up.
He says living on the wreck on the Thames at Brentford is not perfect but it's better than sleeping rough in the area as nights turn cold.
He wonders if he should go on drugs like all his homeless friends who are "begging stealing and prostituting themselves", but he has seen the toll it has taken, and the deaths, and is fundamentally against the idea.
Gary was previously living on the boat at Watermans Park despite the cabin being open to the elements except for plastic sheeting. Then it sprang a leak and has been flooded by the tide twice a day. He is hoping to plug the leak.
