An excited pet bulldog was whipped into a frenzy by firecrackers during the Chinese New Year celebrations.

The six-year old American bully named Tiger began leaping at the explosives when they were set off last Friday (Jan 24).

Owner Tunwa Bourkajon recorded the amusing moment his pet dog began jumping at barking at the firecrackers in his yard in Chachoengsao, eastern Thailand.

Footage shows flickering Chinese fireworks - lit during the Lunar New Year for good luck - exploding while grey clouds of smoke surround them.

Tunwa said: "My little boy hates loud sounds, but we have to set off the firecrackers to mark the Luna New Year. He does this every time so we just laugh about it. He settles down afterwards.''
