A man used groceries to recreate the movie scenes from four classic Chinese novels.

The incredible footage, filmed by Li Xiaodong in Beijing, shows Li himself using flour, bread, leaves, gingers, potatoes, paper images and the flash on his phone to create the famous movie scenes from "Journey to the West", "Dream of the Red Chamber", "Romance of the Three Kingdoms" and "Water Margin".

Li learnt to draw at university and now does special effects work for films.

The clips were shot in February 22, March 11, March 16 and March 13.
